  • What can I expect in a term class?

You can expect to be welcomed into class with a warm and chatty circle, fun warm ups, diverse activities, corner work, choreography and a cool down if the time allows. Each of our classes are unique and are based on our That’s My Jam Dance program. Our fab teachers bring their own flavour, music and vibe to the space. We have lot’s of fun!

  • What can I expect in a casual class?

A taster experience of a TMJ term class. High energy, safe environment, epic tunes and simple yet awesome choreography.

  • How early should I arrive before class?

5-10 mins prior. No earlier unless you’re happy to chatty outside the studio. We expect students to arrive on time unless notified in advance.

  • Do I need to bring anything to class?

Water bottle, comfy clothing, sneakers or heels, every term student is required to have knee pads. Knee pads aren’t kneeded(hehe) for casual classes.

  • I have an injury, can I still come to class?

If you are sick and contagious please don’t attend class. We will catch you up the following week. If you have an injury feel free to bring something comfy to sit on and watch class. We highly encourage this so that you don’t fall behind or miss the joy of your community. Please seek medical advice on when you can return to dance.

  • Do you have casual classes?

We definitely do although not every week. We feel you will get more out of accomplishing an epic routine over a few classes. And the bonus is you make delicious new friends over this time. Each term we do run a one off class to create an opportunity for you to come and have a go before booking into the course.

  • Can I just turn up and pay cash at the door?

Nay! You'll show up if you book in ahead and that works best for all especially you!

  • The class I want to join has sold out. Can I squash in?

Due to student feedback, we're trying our best to class numbers down. The good news is you can join the waitlist! There is usually at least 1 cancellation.

  • What does a class consist of? I'm scared of the unexpected!

Don't worry! We're super friendly, warm and welcoming. We mostly laugh but we also dance ;) Firstly we warm up to fabulous tunes, then we do a mix of dance activities, learn our routine and lastly cool down. Every class is different. If you're looking for a more serious class where you really want to work towards being a profesh dancer - this may not be the place for you, although it isn't entirely impossible.

  • What is the general age/fitness level?

The general age of students is between 25 - 45yrs, having said that age is just a number and the difference isn't noticeable because we're all super awesome. Classes are high energy with plenty of jumping, booty pop squatting and hair whipping...keep that in mind.

  • What's the deal with your hens and private dance workshops?

They're the best! Contact us to chat more about what you are looking for!
